| Working in Neonatology, I am regularly at the birth of otherwise well babies who require a brief review by a Paediatrician before returning to their mothers. It is such a powerful feeling to witness the first moments of a vulnerable and totally reliant infant who has the whole of his life ahead of him. Where I am granted a brief peaceful spell on my own with a newborn in the resuscitation room, I welcome him to the world and wish him well on his journey. |
